废铁装置 (登⾈⼯作室,2024)2020年,登⾈⼯作室延续对材料的探索,创造性地运⽤废铁,制作家具和装置。“铁”是很有意思的材料:5000多年前,它从陨⽯中被提取,被视作天外来客和尊贵⾦属; 2800多年前,它从矿⽯中被冶炼,它是塔、是⻔、是剑,直指新世界。⼯业世界⽃转星移,登⾈重新使⽤它的时候,它是坍倒的废弃物,堆在城郊的⻆落— —我们的时代,有⼤量曾经锋芒四射的弃物。登⾈把铁带回⽇常,以⽣活的目光锻铁,铁成了桌、椅、画;⼯业废铁似乎变回⾃然之物,不惧斑驳,像雪,像⽉光。远看冰冷,⽤起来才知道灿烂。此次展出的系列铁艺装置,登⾈想把四年来对废铁的理解和使⽤,做⼀次更柔韧更⾃在的表达,并任其在林间⽣⻓。⽤于⼯业,只不过是铁的⽣命历程⾥的⼀个侧⾯;放在更⻓的时空维度⾥,它和⼤地协奏,有参差、翻滚、绽放各种状态。登⾈以群像式装置和共⽣式装置,以及可切⼊⽇常的装置,表达废铁作为万物⼀员,在姿态和情绪上的张⼒和可能性。

Symphony/Twin Scrap Iron Installation (Dingzhou Studio, 2024)In 2020, Dingzhou Studio continued its exploration of materials, and creatively used scrap iron to make furniture and installations."Iron" is an interesting material: more than 5,000 years ago, it was extracted from meteorites and regarded as an extraterrestrial and precious metal; more than 2,800 years ago, it was smelted from ore, and it was a tower, a door, a sword, pointing to the new world.The industrial world has changed, and when Dingzhou reuses it, it is a collapsed waste, piled in the corner of the suburb -- in our era, there are a lot of once sharp waste.Dingzhou brings iron back to daily life, forging iron with the light of life, and iron becomes tables, chairs, and paintings;industrial scrap iron seems to be returned to nature, not afraid of mottled, like snow, like moonlight.It looks cold from a distance, but only when it is used is it brilliant.In this series of iron art installations, Dingzhou wants to make a more flexible and comfortable expression of the understanding and use of scrap iron over the past four years, and let it grow in the forest.For industry, it is just one aspect of the life course of iron;in a longer time and space dimension, it plays with the earth, and has jagged, tumbling, and blooming states.With the installation of group and symbiotic style, as well as the installation that can be cut into daily life, Dingzhou expresses the tension and possibility of scrap iron as a member of all things in gesture and emotion. 登舟出生在云南文山,性格洒脱、好客好玩,是个地道的云南女子。2008年,登舟来到大理念书,被这座城市的包容性所深深吸引,毕业后选择留在当地。一开始她并没有明确方向,从一家首饰店的店员做起,逐步发展为一名首饰设计师,后来在收老物件的过程中走上了家具设计的道路。2017年,登舟成立了工作室,利用云南在地的漂流木、废铁、石头等一些材料进行改造,变成别具一格的家具。用她的话来说,“因为是一个半路出家的设计师,也就没有什么束缚,可以把各种想法付诸实践”。


Born in Wenshan, Yunnan, Dengzhou is a typical Yunnan woman with a free and easy personality, hospitality and fun. In 2008, Dengzhou came to Dalian Idea Bookstore and was deeply attracted by the inclusive nature of the city. After graduation, she chose to stay in the city. At the beginning, she did not have a clear direction. She started as a clerk in a jewelry store and gradually developed into a jewelry designer. Later, she started to design furniture in the process of collecting old items. In 2017, Dengzhou set up a studio to transform driftwood, scrap iron, stone and other materials in Yunnan into unique furniture. In her words, "because I am a halfway designer, I am not constrained and can put all my ideas into practice."
