The work "Poetry and the Earth" is located on the lawn beside the library of Wolong Ancient Fishing Village, with an area of about 408 square meters. It is a reading garden that creatively presents the work "Sorrow for Dianchi Lake" by Yu Jian, a famous local ecological poet in Yunnan.Yu Jian's writing has always been rooted in his hometown Kunming, rooted in his mother tongue, and rooted in the literary tradition of China. The work "Sorrow for Dianchi Lake" presents the process of Dianchi from rich vitality to pollution and decline over the past 30 years, traces back the life concept of "poetic habitat" in ancient Kunming, and records the details of the poetic life that still exists. The scheme respects the original architectural and landscape resources of the site, and creates the garden with a light intervention.Taking the text of "Sorrow for Dianchi Lake" as the main body, the transformation of the site includes two mirrored stainless steel reading devices, scattered reading texts on the ground, and a flower scene that naturally changes with the artistic conception of the poem. The reading garden attempts to present the "resurrection" of the original life state of "poetic habitat" by Yu Jian in the lost modern society.Through reading poetry, a literary genre that has gradually faded from daily life, the audience will understand the sanctity and greatness of Dianchi as the mother lake of the plateau, and have an insight into the life process of Dianchi from eternity to destruction, triggering the reflection of life on the changes of Dianchi, and further rebuilding the concept of life and ecology.
