昆明特殊的地理环境与气候，使鲜花常年开放，草木四季常青，是著名的“花城”。创作者集合了云南八大鲜花的局部，把对花的印象和陶醉之意分享给公众，与之共鸣。
For the special geography and climat, there are flowers all the year round in Kunming which is called "flower city". The creator collects some particular parts of the 8 flowers in Yunnan, then sends the public the message of flowers' beauty and intoxicating, to get an art echo.

刘毅是国内最活跃和最具影响力的公共艺术家、设计师和策展人之一，长期致力于整合公共艺术、环境设计、数字媒体等领域的艺术设计实践与教学。曾与众多重要的艺术机构及公共艺术项目建立合作，其中包括：中华艺术宫、上海当代艺术博物馆、复星艺术中心、A4美术馆、UCCA Lab、曹鹏公益基金会等。同时受邀担任IPA国际公共艺术协会研究员，上海市创意设计工作者协会理事，上海市美术家协会会员，61CREATIVE创办人，同济大学设计创意学院客座教授，上海工艺美院产品设计学院外聘专家。曾任上海视觉艺术学院公共艺术专业负责人，德国驻上海总领事馆文化教育处《包豪斯课堂》课程导师，NOTCH北欧中国艺术节顾问，上海世博会世博中心雕塑执行设计负责人，上海艺术设计展邀请展“上海再设计”负责人，上海种子Shanghai Project公共艺术项目研究员。新天地“Lumière China光影中国”灯光艺术节策展人，德国安哈尔特应用技术大学“历史遗产与公共艺术”工作坊导师，Future Lab艺术与设计创新未来教育博览会工作坊导师，上海市学生设计艺术大赛评委。《艺术植入医疗空间的专业育人模式实践于探索》荣获上海市教学成果奖二等奖，2020IOAF国际海洋艺术节全球艺术设计作品银奖，2021深圳光影艺术季星光奖等。

By painting, sculpturing, installating, filmming, performing and other creative activities, Liu Yi explores the topics and relationships between body and space, mind and matter, individual and public, localization and detachment of culture. In his continuous painting of digital creation with smartphone, the uniqueness of his classical modeling and his contemporary colors show his curiosity about life, his fabulous imaginations, his memories and experiences. Also Liu Yi is interested in the narrative art among the digital media, the physical materials and the creative themes, for this, he created a lot of graphic or space art works, with the context of daily life and social scene.
In China, Liu Yi is one of the most active and influential public artists, designers, and curators. He has applied himself to intergrate the art practice and teaching of Public Art, Environment Design and Digital Media, his projects include: Shanghai Art Museum, Power Station of Art, Fosun Foundation, UCCA Lab, Caopeng Foundation, etc. And he was asked to be the associate fellow of Institute for Public Art, the Director of Shanghai Creative Designers Association, Member of Shanghai Artists Association, the founder of 61CREATIVE, the visiting professor of Design and Innovation College (Tongji University), the hired-from-outside specialist of Shanghai Art & Design Academy. He was the director of Public Art in Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, the supervisor of "Bauhaus Class" (Culture & Education Section of the German Consulate-General), the consultant of NOTCH Festival, the executive design director of the sculptures in Shanghai World Expo Center, the director of Art Invitational Exhibition (Shanghai Art Design Expo "Shanghai Redesign"), the fellow of public art in Shanghai Project, the curator of Lumière China, the supervisor of "Historic Heritage & Public Art" workshop in Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (Germany), the judge of Shanghai student design art competition.
His work "Practice & Exploration of Education Model for Art Implantation in Medical Space" won 2nd prize in Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award, silver prize of International Ocean Art Festival in 2020, and the Starlight Awards of Glow Shenzhen 2021.
