The project is located in the northern part of Haiyan Village, the location of the former Haiyan Primary School, adjacent to Dianchi Lake on the west and deep into the village on the east. The project covers three main parts: guest rooms, kitchens and teaching buildings. The main objectives of the transformation: on the basis of maintaining the characteristics of spontaneous group activities organized by villagers, improve the quality of space, enrich the spatial hierarchy, and create a vibrant public activity area for villagers and tourists. Therefore, the project opens space along the street facade, creating a more spacious entrance area, and adds shelter facilities in the two courtyards to reduce the strong sunlight, which is more suitable for long-term stay; The roof and wall are treated by special processes, which not only retains the sense of history of the building, but also realizes a more harmonious and unified appearance style. The kitchen is mainly functional, and adds and improves equipment and facilities to improve the health standard. In addition, the project basically retains the traditional function of holding red and white banquets for villagers to participate in guest preparation. At the same time, it provides more possibilities for the entertainment life of future residents, the holding of large-scale activities and the service of tourists.
